Welcome to the 25th Annual Mill Woods Canada Day Celebration

Canada Day is fast approaching. This will be the 25th Annual event and promises to be a great celebration. The year, Canada Day falls on a Wednesday, providing the perfect break during the work week. The children's activities will begin about 1:00 PM in the middle of Mill Woods Park (23 Ave & 66 St) and run till about 6:00 PM. The stage entertainment will run from about 3:00 PM until the fireworks at 11:00 PM. This year's headliner is Souljah Fyah!

This is a free, family oriented event and generally packs in early. There is no public parking in Mill Woods Park but handicapped people can be dropped off at the various parking lots. There is limited parking available at Mill Woods Town Centre or you can take public transit.

There are very limited handicap parking in the South parking lot (off of 23 Ave) on a first come, first served basis. This is the parking lot closest to the Children's Activities.

Mill Woods Canada Day Celebration 2019

In its 29th year, the Mill Woods Canada Day Celebration's mision is to celebrate both our rich Canadian history and the dversity of the community with a FREE and inclussive event featuring multicultural performances, dance, music, fun and fireworks that is open to everyone.

Join us Monday July 1st at Mill Woods Park (23 ave & 66 St)  for numerous activities, entertainment and fireworks that the whole family can enjoy.

The event is FREE and open to anyone and everyone.

The Mill Woods Presidents' Coiuncil has delivered this event with the support of sponsors and donors since 1990. Financial support ensures the event continues year after year provding free day-long entertainment to 50,000+ people from Southeast Edmonton and beyond.

Western Canada's largest grassroots volunteer operated Canada day event takes more than 200 volunteers to pull off. There are voluneteer opportunities before, during and after the event, with many only requiring a 3.5 hour commitment.

All volunteers receive an event t-shirt, food and water at the event.

New for 2019 is an artisan bazaar featuring Canadian-based artisans, artists and designers offering their creations for display and sale.

The event hopes to attract both prominent exhibitors and local grown talent of all ages.
