STAGE ENTERTAINMENT
9:55 - 10:55 Carter & the Capitals
Carter & the Capitals are a high energy five-piece funk group from Edmonton, Alberta. Known for their signature, hard-driving sound, soulful vocals, and catchy instrumental riffs, the Capitals fuse the most danceable elements of the pop and funk genres. By bottling up deep grooves from their wide range of influences and combining them with tight, snappy arrangements, the band offers its own unique take on Western Canadian funk.
8:55 - 9:40 King of Foxes
Delivered in a voice equal parts fierce and fragile, King of Foxes' evocative lyrics are deftly interwoven with seeing-eye guitar hooks and a cogent understanding of songcraft. Her signature sound is quirky and textural incorporating elements of Brit-pop and melodic indie rock that inform a well-read musical style.
7:55 - 8:40 The Spanish Flies
From the chaotic streets of Peru here come The Spanish Flies, a high energy power pop / psychedelic rock band strongly influenced by electric pop melodies and powerful guitar riffs. Influenced by latin, tropic, ocean vibes and pop melodies, the Spanish Flies try to find answers and escape from the cold climate through an unwavering passion in music.
7:10 - 7:40 The Logan Klaus Band
Winners of the Main Stage competition at The Station, The Logan Klaus Band lay down rock & roll with deep echoes of funk and blues rooted in their unique sound. Using a medley of instruments this up-and-coming teen band is guaranteed to deliver. Also see them at the Big Valley Jamboree this summer.
6:25 - 6:55 Up at 3
Up at 3 is a Canadian folk band drawn together by their love of music, live performance, and rocking out (folk style of course)! Influenced by such diverse, creative forces as Bob Dylan, The Lumineers, and CCR, Up at 3 bring energy and passion to every show. They believe strongly in the sincerity of music, in the magic of a moving melody and the power of a pounding rhythm. For Up at 3, music is their first language; they seek to be messengers for its powerful force and unite us together in harmony with the music.
5:25 - 5:55 Kat Zel
“Kat Zel has been delivering music for the masses with groovy beats, hooky songs, relatable lyrics and great musicianship. Her vocals are raw and edgy - perhaps best described as Sass Jordan meets Melissa Etheridge with sprinklings of a young Deborah Harry. She’s one to watch - that’s for sure!” - Rhea March - C.J.S.R. radio
